We collect the following data:

• Account data: email address, display name.
• Travel data: visited areas (countries, regions), geolocated pins, links to photos.
• Technical logs: IP addresses, connection dates (retention period: 90 days).

2. Purposes

• Providing and maintaining the service.
• Sending transactional emails (verification, password reset).
• Improving the service.
• Search engine indexing: when you opt in to the showcase (isListed = true in Settings → Visibility), both the English and French versions of your public map are indexed by search engines. You can opt out at any time from your settings.

3. Legal basis (GDPR)

Processing is based on contract performance (Art. 6.1.b GDPR) — you have created an account and accepted these terms.

4. Retention periods

• Account and travel data: for the duration of account activity, then deleted within 30 days of account closure.
• Technical logs: 90 days.

Transfers to Vercel, Resend and Upstash (United States) are governed by standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission (Art. 46.2.c GDPR).

You have the following rights:

• Portability: JSON export available in settings.

9. Cookies

Roamr only uses a strictly necessary session cookie for the operation of the service. No advertising or tracking cookies are set. No consent banner is required.
